Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 26, 2026
Welcome to Shalom Transport LLC. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to our website and the scheduling and receipt of our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. By accessing our site, requesting a ride, or booking transportation, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our website or services.
1. Description of NEMT Services
Shalom Transport LLC provides professional, non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services, including wheelchair-accessible transit, ambulatory assistance, and senior ride accommodations within Woodbridge, Prince William County, and surrounding areas in Northern Virginia.
CRITICAL: We do NOT provide emergency medical services (EMS), ambulance transport, or advanced life support. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
2. Booking and Intake Policies
When you request a ride through our online intake form, phone line, or email:
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information regarding the passenger, addresses, appointment times, and mobility equipment requirements.
- Online submission of a booking form represents a transport request. Bookings are only confirmed once a dispatcher contacts you and verifies scheduling availability.
- Passengers requiring specialized care, child seats, or constant supervision must be accompanied by an authorized personal care assistant (PCA) or escort.
3. Cancellation & No-Show Guidelines
To maintain an efficient dispatch schedule for all healthcare patients:
- Standard Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time.
- Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or instances where the driver arrives and the passenger is unavailable may incur a cancellation or dispatch service fee.
- We reserves the right to suspend booking privileges for repeat no-shows.
4. Passenger Safety & Conduct
Passenger and driver safety are our absolute priority:
- All passengers must follow state seatbelt laws. Wheelchair passengers must allow drivers to secure their chairs using the vehicle's 4-point Q'Straint or hydraulic lift securement systems.
- Harassment, abusive language, or threatening behavior toward drivers or dispatch staff will result in immediate termination of the trip and permanent suspension of service.
- No smoking, vaping, eating, or drinking (other than water or medical necessity) is permitted inside our clean clinical fleet.
5. Limits of Liability
Shalom Transport LLC operates with high standards of precision and punctuality. However, we are not liable for transportation delays or failures caused by conditions beyond our reasonable control, including traffic congestion, highway closures, severe weather conditions, mechanical failure, or scheduling delays at healthcare medical clinics.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shalom Transport LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from delayed arrival or service interruptions.
6. Modifications to Service & Pricing
We reserve the right to modify our service availability, service scope, rates, fees, and travel boundaries at any time. Changes in pricing do not affect bookings that have already been confirmed by our dispatch team.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any dispute arising from your use of our services or website shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
